It’s Disappointing That Obama Has Allowed The Banking Interests To Organize The Restructuring

Equity markets around the world are signaling correction. Isn’t it strange that the word correction implies improvement? The market Bulls obviously don’t think so.

But, being properly positioned for the market’s frequent pull-back to a long-term valuation, which we measure as the 350-day Moving Average, traders can make money.

As I reviewed each of the international markets in detail this morning, a few things were clear about the present pull-back.

The single-line track of each of the … [visit site to read more]

Lanzarote ‘faring better for property overseas than Spanish mainland’

Those looking for overseas property and considering Spain will find that Lanzarote has fared better than the mainland since the economic downturn began.

In a feature on the island as a place to live, the Times noted that official statistics record a drop of only four per cent in values, a third of the overall national figure.

The paper also noted that the island has avoided some of the perceived development problems seen in parts of the mainland, with a policy being instigated from the 1960s of painting new buildings white and avoiding high-rises.

Such features and the strength of prices on the island may appeal to those keen on moving abroad, as may the year-round warmth of the climate.

Writing his column for Spanish property portal Kyero.com last week, Martin Dell said that for sensible investors it is "safe" to buy in Spain, with it being likely that the property market will start to improve soon.

Offshore jobs boost as Western Australia ‘bounces back’

The state of Western Australia is recovering after an economic dip a year ago, it has been noted.

In news that could boost those keen on finding offshore jobs in Australia, experts have said the economy is improving there rapidly, with the mining sector set for a boom, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Professor of economic policy at Curtin University in Perth Peter Kenyon said there had been "doom and gloom" in the worst days of the world financial crisis a year ago.

"Everybody was talking about it being worse than the Great Depression, but consumer confidence is back, business confidence is back and interstate and overseas migration continues," he added.

He noted that factors likely to help the state in general and the city of Perth in particular include recent increases in the price of base metal, with this being one product of the primary industries in the state.

Australia’s property market will be helped by a recent 0.25 per cent rise in the country’s base rate, as this will stabilise the market, according to Brian White, the chairman of real estate firm Ray White.

Two More Of My Favorite Technical Indicators

Two weeks ago, I told you why a quick look at Colgate’s (CL) chart led me to believe that its run was going to continue through the early fall. And I also said that I had a few reasons to be wary of the stock’s ability to continue rising going forward.

If you’re a Dividend Superstars subscriber, you should have closed out that position based on my recommendation in the issue that just went to press. I’m tracking a gain of 32.7 percent. Great!

Now today I want to talk about a … [visit site to read more]
